Why this course

A slow course on the courage of a father.

Most fatherhood teaching arrives in conferences and devotionals — bright, brief, and easy to forget. The teaching men hear on Sunday rarely reaches the kitchen-table hour, where the real work of being a father and husband lives.

Biblical Fatherhood 101 is the course we wanted to hand a younger version of the founder — long-form, unhurried, and walked in the company of other men. It moves slowly because real formation does. The first decade of marriage, the daily work of fatherhood, the long obedience of teaching your own children — these are the rooms the work is meant to walk into.

Anchor — Psalm 128:1–4

Curriculum outline

Eight modules,
walked in order.

Each module runs a season — read, sit with, discuss with a brother. The lessons are anchored in Scripture and aimed at the daily lead of a household, not at a stage. The cadence is unhurried on purpose: real formation is.

  1. 01

    The father as shepherd

Leading the household before the household leads you.

    • What Psalm 23 teaches a man about the daily lead of a home.
    • Knowing the sheep — names, temperaments, the quiet needs underneath.
    • Pastoring your wife before pastoring your children.
  2. 02

    Covenant head, devotional lead

The prayer life of a household starts with the man.

    • Daily devotional rhythm that survives a working week.
    • Reading the Word aloud — the slow formation of shared Scripture.
    • Praying for your wife and children by name, on purpose.
  3. 03

    Discipline with patience

Correcting without crushing, training without losing the child's heart.

    • Hebrews 12 and the warning against wearying the soul of your child.
    • Reproof, correction, righteousness — the three movements of discipline.
    • When you lose your temper, the repentance that follows.
  4. 04

    Training in righteousness

Proverbs 22:6 as a long obedience, not a one-time pledge.

    • The day-in-day-out work of formation — habits, language, example.
    • Teaching the "why" before the "what" — convictions before rules.
    • When a child walks away from the faith: faithfulness in the long middle.
  5. 05

    Walking with sons and daughters

Distinct calls for sons and daughters, under one Father.

    • Teaching a son to lead, teaching a daughter what to look for.
    • Praising the right things — character over achievement.
    • Letting them see you fail and seeing you repent.
  6. 06

Leading your wife in the faith

The first ministry of a husband is the woman beside him.

    • Ephesians 5 as a call to sacrifice, not to control.
    • Studying the Word alongside her, not over her.
    • Building a marriage that outlasts the romance books promised.
  7. 07

    Leaving a legacy

The grandfather-grandson verse, lived now, not at the end.

    • Legacy is the daily deposit, not the funeral eulogy.
    • Writing down what you believe so a child can find it later.
    • A grandson you may never meet — faith forwarded across generations.
  8. 08

    Finishing well

The long obedience that outlasts the highlight reel.

    • Perseverance in the quiet years — when nothing visible is changing.
    • Aging fathers: softening without losing the spine.
    • The final handing-off — when a son leads his own home.

Meet the instructor

Taught by the man
behind the brand.

Taught by the founder of Kingdom Worth — a husband in the first decade of marriage and a father still in the middle of the work. The course carries the same voice as the field-notes and the About page: honest about where the teaching falls short, honest that the work is long.

He is not a professional teacher, a pastor, or a polished speaker. He is a man who leads a household in the mornings, writes the slow material in the afternoon, and sits with fathers and husbands on Sunday evenings — and he wrote this course for the men who find themselves in the same first-decade seat.

  • Psalm 128:1–4
  • Joshua 24:15
